Physical and Chemical PropertiesIt is soluble in methanol, ethanol, DMSO and other organic solvents, and comes from the dried mature fruit of jasminoides Ellis, a Rubiaceae plant gardenia Gardenia Rubiaceae.
In vivo study Genipin 1-β-D-gentiobioside (Genipin gentiobioside) has moderate terminal elimination half-life (t 1/2 =1.65±0.87 h and 2.43±2.30 h for nomal rats (11.4 mg/kg) and cholestatic liver injury (CLI) rats (11.4 mg/kg), respectively).
